Jeffrey Blend

Associate

Jeffrey Blend is an associate in O’Melveny’s Washington, DC office and a member of the Health Care and Life Sciences and White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practices.

Before he joined O’Melveny, Jeffrey spent seven years at an acute care hospital as the Director of Managed Care and Contracting. In this position, he negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with HMOs, insurance organizations, physician groups and ancillary providers, resolved payment disputes arising from contractual relationships, and developed business strategy.

Prior to working at the hospital, Jeffrey was the Chief Operating Officer at a medical group management company. He managed all aspects of operations including financial management and reporting, claims processing, contracting, and maintaining compliance with contracting HMOs and the Federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Earlier in his career, Jeffrey served as a budget examiner at the Office of Management and Budget.
