Matthew Erramouspe is a partner in O'Melveny's Century City office and a member of the Entertainment and Media Practice.  Matthew advises clients in all business and legal aspects related to the financing, production and exploitation of motion pictures, television programs, entertainment and sports events.  His practice reflects a sophisticated understanding of the role each individual deal plays in the "big picture," from actor, writer, director, producer and other talent deals, to more complex production, financing and distribution arrangements for motion pictures and television programs.

Over the past few years, Matthew's practice has focused on creating and structuring joint ventures and other strategic relationships in the United States and abroad to develop, produce and distribute motion pictures, and other content, including structured financing arrangements on behalf of motion picture studios, investors, sponsors, and funds.

Matthew's recent clients include The Weinstein Company, Sony Pictures Entertainment, MGM, Intrepid Pictures, and Legendary Films.

Illustrative Professional Experience

  • Represented a major studio in connection with a co-financing, production and distribution arrangement for its slate of films over a 5-year period
  • Represented an independent production company in connection with its multi-year co-financing and distribution arrangement with Warner Bros. and obtaining senior and mezzanine debt and equity financing
  • Represented co-chairmen of a studio in connection with their separation from the studio and the structuring, formation and financing of their new film and media company
  • Represented an independent studio in connection with the structuring, formation and financing of film funds in Latin America and Asia
