O'Melveny Sponsors ICC Young Arbitrators' Seminar in London

O'Melveny's London Dispute Resolution practice recently co-sponsored, jointly with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), a young arbitrators' seminar at the London Stock Exchange.  The highly publicized event, held on October 29, was attended by 120 leading international arbitration specialists below the age of 40.

 

Partner David Foster, head of the London Dispute Resolution practice, gave the keynote speech and was a speaker on the first panel discussion, together with representatives from Debevoise & Plimpton, WilmerHale, and the ICC International Court of Arbitration, regarding "challenges to arbitrators where an arbitrator and counsel are from the same chambers."  London counsel James Barratt, was a speaker on the second panel, together with representatives from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Lovells, regarding "pre-appointment disclosure of information."
